Direct Mail Addressing
Inkjet or Labels?
Ink Jet addressing is the only method you should consider when planning your next mailer. If you are going to be providing a mailing list, make sure it is on a disk. Addressing directly on the mail piece adds a professional appearance and speeds your mail through the postal system.
Your direct mail is sorted to the lowest possible rate and the addresses are printed right on the mail piece along with the bar-code and any required post office information. A lot of time we will have the mail sorted all the way down to walk sequence order for the post office delivery. This means the mail is actually in order for the carriers route as he goes along from house to house. This benefits you in the form of cheaper rates and faster delivery times.
If address quality is a concern, we have several machines that can print special fonts and higher resolution. It is a good idea to speak with one of our customer service reps prior to making any decisions about the design of your address area on your mail piece. Different paper stocks and finishes can affect address quality that in turn can cause problems at the post office.
As far as price goes, speed = lower cost – higher quality = lower speed. Check out our Direct Mail Prices for more information.
